Woodland, a new 8.34-acre community in Asheville, North Carolina.

Trilogy Investment Co. (TIC), a nationally recognized real estate investment and development firm specializing in build-to-rent (BTR), for-sale housing and lot development, has officially begun development on Woodland, a new 8.34-acre community in Asheville, North Carolina. Located on Woodland Drive in Buncombe County, the project features 70 townhomes to be built by Lennar Homes—marking the builder’s official entry into the Asheville market.

As part of TIC’s ongoing expansion in Asheville through its dedicated land development arm, Rêve Development, Woodland is the first community in the region to be delivered to Lennar. Land clearing and grading are underway, and the vision for Woodland is coming into focus.

Setanta Development Capital is providing financing for the project. The first homes are expected to be completed by late 2026, with initial residents anticipated to move in by December.

“We are thrilled to partner with Lennar to help address the region’s urgent housing needs, particularly following the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene,” said Jason Joseph, CEO and Managing Partner of Trilogy Investment Co. “With over 100,000 homes damaged or destroyed—including nearly 1,000 in Buncombe County—our commitment to supporting recovery efforts and providing high-quality housing solutions is stronger than ever.”

Woodland’s development coincides with a wave of regional investment and economic growth. Among the most significant is Pratt & Whitney’s new 1.2-million-square-foot manufacturing facility, representing a $650 million investment and creating 1,500 new jobs to support both commercial and military aircraft production.

Ideally situated off Woodland Drive, the community offers residents convenient access to Highway 74 and is just five miles from downtown Asheville. Nearby retail, dining, and entertainment destinations include Chick-fil-A, Planet Fitness, Lowe’s, Starbucks, Home Depot, and more.

Families living in Woodland will benefit from access to Buncombe County Schools, including Johnston Elementary, a National Blue Ribbon School located less than five miles away.

With a proven track record in BTR and land development, Trilogy Investment Co. is recognized for its forward-thinking approach, strategic partnerships and commitment to building vibrant, resilient communities. As TIC continues to grow its presence in North Carolina and beyond, it remains committed to raising the standard for both rental and for-sale housing.
